This is my favorite picture of Dion. There's something about the way he's looking at me. You can tell he loves me.

We were close. There were times when he was my only comapnion. In 1974, we were living in a third floor tenemant apartment in Lynn. I was feeling very lonely and missing my parents and my siblings back in Australia. I was lying face down on the single bed tucked into the corner of the kitchen/dining area, where Dion usually slept. I was weepy but trying not to show it. Dion knew, though. He came up to the bed and patted my back soothingly.

"Don't worry, Mum," he told me, "it will be alright."

There's lots I could say about him but right now it's too difficult.
